Multi‑purpose optical cable uses a single‑fiber optical cable (Φ900 µm tight‑buffered fiber, aramid strength members) as the sub‑unit. It has a non‑metallic central strength member, around which the optical cable sub‑units are stranded to form the cable core. The outermost layer is extruded with a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or low‑smoke, halogen‑free, flame‑retardant (LSZH) sheath.
